Sit-On-Top Kayaks
Prior to sit on top kayaks kayakers had very limited options when it came to paddling on an open top designed kayak. The most popular option the waveski was designed, as the name suggests, for the purpose of surfing on waves. Now, the sit-on-top kayak has well and truly replaced the waveski for all but surfing the big waves.
Though a relatively new concept Sit On Kayaks (believed to be introduced in the early 1980's) now encompass a range of options comparable to the Sit In Kayaks with the notable exception of a sea kayak class.

Spirit Racing Ski
Suitable for adventure and competition racing.
Available in surf and trailing rudder configurations and a great range of colours.
Which rudder is right for me?
If you're looking to do Adventure Racing the most common choice is the surf rudder as it typically offers around 20% better control in the waves....It's not uncommon for a surf rudder to control the kayak in rough conditions while a trailing rudder to be out of the water.
The trailing rudder is great for the Avon Descent and other races such as the Murray Marathon. It allows the kayaker to paddle in low water and for the rudder to "kick up" when there are underlying obstacles. Learn More

Spirit PRS Ski (aka PRS 570 Ski)
When compared to its smaller brother the PRS is not only faster but is actually more stable.
Now you can get a ski that is faster than the 3/4 length ones without stability compromise.
It is also great for those wanting extra performance without moving away from the convenience of a plastic ski.
Great for the Adventure Races that are happening around the country.
We've got awesome deals on the PRS ski. Come and see in-store. Learn More
